What does it take to be an EXPLORER? What would your little one want to explore to satisfy his or her curiosity?
How does it sound if he or she could…
explore the natural environment and build a simulated eco-system
experience how a volcano erupt as the magma flows out from the Earth
create an extension to a robot to challenge an obstacle-filled terrain…?
These are some unique, fun and educational activities that your children can enjoy at our regular weekly programme that adopts the STEAM learning approach conducted by Explorer Junior.
In conjunction with global emphasis on STEAM education – a curriculum with a strong emphasis in 5 specific disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics – this pedagogy builds skills and interests in learning that will serve throughout children’s school years. Every child is a curious explorer. This is the key philosophy of Explorer Junior and this programme provides an environment for curiosity that encourages creative exploration, bringing out the best in every child.
What to Expect
Explorerhaus is a weekly enrichment program that nurtures children’s curiosity, creativity & critical thinking through engaging exploration & interactive experiences. The multi-disciplinary program covers a myriad of modules and over 50 topics from sciences to environment, from engineering to robotics, from architecture to geography.
Each week will be completely different from the previous, jam-packed with unique hands-on experiments, collaborative design activities and endless fun! Children get to work on traditional design projects such as paper making or tech-based design projects such art-bot, stop animation and many others.
Apart from equipping children with basic scientific concepts and general knowledge through age-appropriate sensory & hands-on activities, this process-driven program aims to develop life skills in young children outside of the academic realms. As children go through the design thinking process developed by Stanford University’s d.school, they learn crucial social skills and abilities such as adaptability, creativity, resilience & patience as they explore and build their projects.
Explorerhaus also integrates edge-cutting technology into the curriculum, accustoming participants to technology advances such as augmented reality, virtual reality, robotics & computer science. This provides a platform for children to be creators of technology instead of just consumers of technology.
